Andalyn Barker, an 8th grader at AMS, has earned first place at the district level and state level for her submission to the Elks Americanism essay contest in the 7tth-8th grade division! Alliance City Schools would like to thank the Stout family, and owners of Coastal Pet Products, for their generous donation! For the second year in a row, they have donated the remaining costs for the annual Alliance Middle School Honors Trip to Washington DC. Each year the top 40 students in 8th grade attend the trip, which has been a valuable learning experience for many generations of students. During the parent meeting held last week, Mr. Stout said he was happy to help cover the cost of the trip because it is an educational experience that students are not able to get in the classroom. The stout family and Coastal Pet offers a number of scholarships to local schools each year and he views the DC Honor as another opportunity to help students further their education.
