Megan Harper and Cindy Gaines hosted another family activity for the students in their class! This month, the students and their families celebrated the holiday season by building their very own gingerbread houses! 🏠 The kiddos really enjoyed sneaking a taste of the frosting while building their houses. Kelly Barthel and Jason Dotson combined fun and learning together when they had a sight word snowball fight! Mrs. Barthel wrote high frequency words on papers and crinkled them up into snowballs. While Mr. Dotson played some music, the kiddos tossed the snowballs around. When the music stopped, the kids took their snowballs to their seats and wrote down the word they had. The students in Tanya Coler's class at Alliance Early Learning School learned about advent calendars and how they help children count down the days to Christmas. 📅 Each student received their own advent calendar filled with yummy chocolate that they will open once a day for a sweet treat! 🍬😋

Over 400 students and family members attended the PTO Hot Pots night last week! The students got to use their art skill and painted a mug or a plate with their own special design. 🎨
After painting, they enjoyed hot cocoa and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus! 🎅

The kindergarten classes read "Balloons Over Broadway," a true story about a man who invented the upside down marionettes that are now used in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. After reading the story, the student designed and made their own balloons! The projected ended with all kindergartners parading through the halls of Alliance Early Learning School for the staff and 1st graders to see their balloons! 🎈
